R&D, no. 02

A direction, not a roadmap

The axes we work on are stated here at an abstract level. No timeline is published, no screenshots, no logos. We will speak of results when they are there.

Statement

The research carried out by Quaric concerns the continuity between classical and quantum computing. The word bridge, in the project's motto, is not a figure of speech. It describes a real effort : to make sure tools, languages, methods and people can move from one regime of computation to the other without loss of meaning.

This effort is not a product promise. It is a working orientation, sustained by a collective and inscribed in time.

Axes

  • 01 Computational continuity Think the models, languages and compilations that allow one and the same problem to move across both regimes of computation without methodological rupture.
  • 02 Chain sovereignty Identify the critical links, from hardware to software, whose absence forbids technical autonomy. Rebuild what can be rebuilt, without hostility toward what works.
  • 03 Durable tooling Design tools that can be maintained for a decade, read aloud, and passed on. The durability of tools comes before their novelty.
  • 04 Transmission Document, teach, archive. Without transmission, an institution is only a name. R&D also produces texts, not only code.
The bridge is not an image. It is a labour.
